Maria began her healthcare journey seven years ago in Florida, and her first foray into the healthcare continuum were the roles of Receptionist and Human Resources Assistant. During this timeframe, Maria was also earning her bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. Maria has championed many roles in her previous facility and was so inspired by working with residents and families, that she pursued a career as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.Maria worked as a Nursing Home Administrator in Florida for two and a half years, until she moved to New York from Florida in June of 2020, beginning her time in New York at sister community, The Riverside. Maria was the Assistant Nursing Home Administrator and has now transitioned into the role of Administrator at Chatham Hills. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
